Services

Eight service areas that share one purpose.

Helping you see the situation clearly, then giving you a practical way through it. Most clients start with one area and end up using several — because in practice, these problems are connected.

01 — Consulting

Business Consulting

Working the real constraint, not the obvious one.

Most consulting engagements fail because they treat the symptom. Revenue is down, so the plan is "more marketing." But the actual problem is a pricing model that can't absorb the cost of acquisition, or an offer that's hard to say yes to, or a sales conversation that loses people in the third minute.

We spend the early part of an engagement figuring out which of those is true for you. Then we work that one thing, hard, until it moves.

  • Offer & pricing strategy What you sell, how it's packaged, and what it should actually cost.
  • Positioning & messaging Why someone should pick you over the alternative, stated in a way they'll believe.
  • Operational review Where time, margin and momentum are leaking out of the business.
  • Growth planning A sequence of moves with a defensible order, not a wish list.
  • Revenue expansion Finding income inside what you're already doing before adding anything new.

02 — Coaching

Coaching & Advisory

A confidential sounding board with an outside view.

This is the service people describe hardest and value most. You're facing a decision — about a business, a contract, a partner, a direction — and everyone close to it has a stake in the answer.

We don't. We'll ask the questions nobody's asking, name the tradeoffs plainly, and help you reframe the situation until the right move becomes obvious. Sometimes the reframe alone is the whole engagement.

  • One-on-one advisory sessions Scheduled or as-needed, by phone or video.
  • Decision support Structured thinking through a specific choice you're weighing.
  • Perspective work Looking at the same facts from an angle that changes what they mean.
  • Accountability Someone who remembers what you said you'd do and follows up on it.
  • Opportunity identification Finding the earning potential in what you already have or already know.

03 — Capital

Business Funding Access

We make the introduction and prepare the file. The lender makes the decision.

Being declined and being unfundable are two different things. A lot of businesses in the first category get treated like they're in the second — because the file was presented badly, or it went to a funder whose criteria it was never going to fit.

We help on both fronts. First, an honest read on where you stand and what would strengthen the picture. Then a properly assembled package, and introductions to sources in our network whose criteria actually match your profile.

  • Funding readiness assessment Where you stand today, before anything gets submitted.
  • Package preparation consulting What to include, how to present it, what to fix first.
  • Lender & funding source introductions From an established network across a range of business profiles.
  • Positioning support Helping your numbers and your story say the same thing.
  • Timing guidance If waiting sixty days materially changes your outcome, we'll say so.

Important

SCM Partners is not a lender and does not make credit or funding decisions. We provide consulting and introductions to third-party funding sources. All rates, terms, approvals and declines are determined solely by those third parties. We do not guarantee that any application will be approved, or on what terms.

04 — Documentation

Document Preparation Consulting

Paperwork decides more outcomes than people expect.

Applications get declined, deals stall and reviews drag on because a document set was incomplete, inconsistent, or written in a way that raised a question it didn't answer. It's rarely dramatic. It's usually a mismatch between two numbers, or a missing page nobody flagged.

We consult on what your package needs to contain, how it should read, and what commonly trips it up — so it goes out right the first time.

  • Document set review What's there, what's missing, what contradicts what.
  • Preparation consulting Structure, sequencing and presentation of a complete package.
  • Business documentation Organizing the records a funder, processor or partner will ask for.
  • Process design Setting up how documents get produced and stored so the next time is easier.
  • Common-rejection review The specific issues that get packages sent back.

Important

Document preparation consulting is not the practice of law and is not legal advice. We do not draft or select legal instruments for you, represent you before any agency or court, or advise on the legal effect of any document. Where a matter requires legal or tax judgment, we will tell you and recommend you engage a licensed attorney or accountant.

05 — Structure

Business Formation Consulting

Understanding your options before you commit to one.

Entity choice gets made quickly and lived with for years. People form an LLC because that's the word they heard, then discover later that the structure doesn't fit how the business actually operates, who's involved, or how money moves through it.

We walk you through the landscape — what the common structures are, what they're generally used for, and what questions to bring to your attorney or CPA before you file. Then we help with the practical setup once the decision is made.

  • Structure education How the common entity types differ and what drives the choice.
  • Formation process consulting The sequence of steps, in order, with what each one requires.
  • EIN & registration guidance Understanding what's needed and where it comes from.
  • Operational setup Banking, records, and the housekeeping that keeps a structure meaningful.
  • Multi-entity considerations When separation makes sense and what it demands in practice.

Important

Formation consulting is educational and administrative. Selecting an entity type has legal and tax consequences specific to your circumstances. We do not provide legal or tax advice, and nothing here substitutes for the judgment of a licensed attorney or CPA.

06 — Education

Asset Protection Education

Understanding the vocabulary before you're in a room where it's used.

Asset protection is a field where people get sold complicated things they don't understand, by people counting on them not to ask. The antidote is knowing what the terms actually mean.

We teach the concepts — how separation works, why documentation and formality matter, what the common structures are generally used for, and what the real-world limits are. Then you can walk into a conversation with a qualified attorney as an informed participant instead of an audience.

  • Foundational concepts What "protection" does and does not mean in practice.
  • Structure & separation How entities and ownership arrangements are generally used.
  • Documentation & formalities Why the paperwork discipline is the point, not the paperwork.
  • Common misconceptions The claims that should make you skeptical of whoever's making them.
  • Preparing for counsel The questions worth asking a licensed attorney, and why.

Education Only

This service is strictly educational and consultative. We do not create, recommend, implement or administer asset protection structures, trusts or estate plans, and nothing we provide is legal, tax or financial advice. Asset protection planning is highly fact-specific and, done improperly or for improper purposes, can carry serious legal consequences. Implementation must be handled by a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.

07 — Credit

Credit Consulting & Education

How the system reads you, and what actually moves the needle.

Credit is one of the most consequential and least explained parts of financial life. Most people operate on folklore — advice picked up secondhand, half of it outdated, some of it actively counterproductive.

We teach how business and personal credit profiles are constructed and evaluated, what strengthens them over time, and how all of it connects to the funding conversation you may be heading toward.

  • How profiles are read What the underlying factors are and how they're weighted in general terms.
  • Business vs. personal credit Where they're separate, where they aren't, and why it matters.
  • Building over time The practices that strengthen a profile and the ones that quietly weaken it.
  • Your rights What federal law entitles you to do yourself, at no cost.
  • The funding connection How credit factors into how a funder sees your file.

Education Only — Not Credit Repair

SCM Partners is not a credit repair organization and does not offer credit repair services. We do not dispute items on your behalf, contact credit bureaus or creditors for you, or promise to improve any credit score or remove any information from a credit report. Our credit services are consultative and educational only. You have the right to dispute inaccurate information on your own credit report yourself, free of charge, directly with the credit bureaus.

08 — Programs

Education & Training

For people who'd rather own the knowledge than keep renting it.

Not everyone wants an ongoing engagement. Some people want to understand the system well enough to run it themselves — and that's a legitimate goal we're happy to serve.

Our programs and materials cover the same ground as our consulting work, structured so you can work through it at your own pace, with guided support available when you want it.

  • Structured programs Sequenced material covering credit, funding, formation and growth.
  • Written guides & playbooks Reference material you keep and return to.
  • Guided or self-paced Work through it alone or with scheduled check-ins.
  • Team training Bringing a group up to a shared baseline.

Also Available

Lead generation and vetted lead vendors.

Campaigns we run directly, plus vendor relationships across nearly every industry. It gets its own page because it's a different kind of engagement.
